Using eBay to Your Advantage In Planning Your Wedding

Planning a Wedding is always an expensive and daunting experience. I found out myself when I got engaged to my wife 15 months ago. However, I found ways to utilize eBay to find the right Wedding Supplies for the big day.
One way to get the most out of eBay is to search the wedding categories using your color theme. For example, our wedding's theme colors were Black and White. Type in "Black and White" in the search box while in the Unity Candles category to find unity candles of those colors. By repeating this for the other Wedding Favors you need, you'll quickly find yourself narrowing down your list of things to buy.
A lot of vendors on eBay also will personalize your purchases. When buying swiss army knives for my groomsmen, I was able to contact the seller and have them engrave my groomsmens' names on the knives at no extra charge. My wife purchased a personalized unity candle on eBay and saved $27 over the same candle at a retail wedding store.
When buying Wedding Supplies on eBay, be sure to check the seller's feedback rating. If a seller has no feedback or has accumulated many negative feedback ratings then you should not bid on that seller's items. Also be aware of shipping charges on the items you are bidding on. Be sure the the cost of shipping fits the item you are purchasing. Although the vast majority of sellers are reputable, there are a handful who may not handle your order as they should. As eBay says, Caveat Emptor - "Buyer Beware!"
When bidding on certain items that you need a multiple quantity of, email the seller and ask if they multiple items in stock. If so, often times you can negotiate a volume discount with the seller or have them ship all of the items for one lower price. I was able to accomplish this with the knives I ordered as well as our wedding favors, our personalized packets of coffee.
Finally, have fun shopping online. Spend time searching for the perfect supplies for your wedding. Having all of the right items for your Wedding is the icing on the cake for your big day.
